People Of Action

Together, we take action to create lasting change in our communities and around the world.

Our History in Disaster Relief

Our Disaster team has been working on Disaster planning and response for almost 20 years within our District and in other Districts in Florida, In the Southeast USA and in the Caribbean.

In Florida we have responded to (among others) Hurricanes Charlie, Dean, Francis, Jean, Katrina, Wilma, Dennis, Hermine, Michael, and Ian. We have provided aid to sister communities in the US and in the Caribbean during Hurricanes Dean, Ivan, Iram, Maria, Donna, Gustav, Matthew, and many others. We have also rendered aid and comfort after the devastating earthquakes in Haiti in 2010 and 2021.

Our DNA-RAG team members have conducted Disaster preparedness talks to clubs and webinars for Districts and Zones and stand ready to mentor others who wish to learn how to provide preparedness training.
